"Tide focuses heavily on coach operations in Northern Norway, and one way to succeed with this growth is through this strategic acquisition of an already very good partner with skilled drivers who have considerable local expertise", says commercial director of Tide Buss, Christine Flataker Johannessen.
Tide Buss and Arctic Bus The Lofoten has for a long time already had a good cooperation, including on tour in Oslo, during the great NATO exercise last fall and in connection with cruise activities in Northern Norway.
"This is very good for us at Arctic Bus Lofoten. With Tide as owner, we have now got even better conditions for further growth in the region and a larger network to support us. It will be exciting to see what growth we can achieve with using Tide's experience and expertise, and we are already seeing that with increased focus on cruise activities, we will need to hire several bus drivers in Arctic Buss Lofoten, "says Sveinung Johnsen, CEO and co-owner of the company.
"Arctic Bus The Lofoten and Tide Buss are an excellent combination. Both companies have similar values and coherent ambitions for the future. At the same time, we complement each other by having Arctic Buss Lofoten have solid market knowledge and a good and established offering and reputation in the region, while Tide with business in several parts of the country and a larger support system will add increased predictability and safer frameworks for both employees and customers, ”says Christine Flataker Johannessen.
"Having worked with Tide for a long time, I have learned to know the company as a bus company with good structures, healthy values, an attitude and a spirit of cooperation that I have greatly appreciated, and who will benefit all the employees in Arctic Buss Lofoten ", says Sveinung Johansen.
Arctic Bus The Lofoten is the largest local tour operator in Lofoten and Vesterålen. The company has 22 employees and was established in 2004. In total, Arctic Buss Lofoten has 10 modern buses. Tide Buss is the country's second largest bus company and has two main business areas: public public transport, and a significant commercial activity within tour bus rentals, express buses and airport buses.
